Why New Year Is The Time For A Fat Freeze Treatment

With the end of 2024 fast approaching, it will soon be time to make some New Year resolutions. Perhaps not surprisingly after all the Christmas excess food and booze, surveys have shown that losing weight and getting fit feature among the most common pledges people like to make.

However, anyone who has tried to lose weight, particularly women, will know that no matter how much they hit the gym, jog around their local streets and swap gateau for Granola, there can sometimes be areas of persistent fat that just won’t go away.

This is where cryo fat treatment, or cryo lipolysis, can make the difference. If you can’t burn it off, then you can try going in the opposite direction and freezing it away.

You can’t achieve this by standing in the cold or even by having an ice bath, however. Instead, the technique works by using a hand-held device to pull the targeted area away from the body and apply extreme cold to it, so that it can kill the fat cells.

The process takes up to an hour and after a few weeks, results can show through, with around a quarter of the fat cells in the targeted area being destroyed.

It is true that on very rare occasions the process can actually stimulate more fat growth, an effect called paradoxical adipose hyperplasia. However, this is extremely unusual, with studies suggesting it happens no more than once every 2,000 times.

A one in 2,000 failure rate is something most people hoping to get in trim in the New Year would be delighted with, given all the temptations to indulge in the odd tasty treat or slack off at the gym.

It is important to remember, of course, that fat-freezing treatments are no substitute for a healthier diet and lots of exercise. It is only after those have removed as much fat as possible that you should consider a cryo fat freeze for that awkward leftover bit.

In your quest to shift the fat, you may say this treatment is the cherry on the icing on the cake – which, of course, you won’t be eating!
